They say no system is perfect, and the electric snow thrower is not exempt from this rule. While these snow throwers are ideal for those on a shoestring budget, those that wish to save a couple of hundred bucks on their snow thrower, those that like to save space, as well as those that do not like a lot of noise and pollution, electric snow throwers also take some getting used to, and they have some limitations. Among the limitations of these electric snow throwers is that they come with an electrical cord. While they are not as heavy as gas snow throwers that are filled with gas, trying to move around with this cord can also be quite annoying. Another downside to electric snow throwers is that they are limited in terms of the snow they can handle. Only about 8 to 10 inches of snow can be cleared using these snow throwers, and the type of snow they can handle are only the dry and powdery types.
